Alicia Bermes

Executive Director

Welcome! My name is Alicia and I am the Executive Director here at the Niles Chamber of Commerce & Industry. I was born and raised in the Northern suburbs and after some time away I am excited to be back home! Prior to chamber life I worked for Girl Scouts in membership and before that I homeschooled my children.

I have a MA in Psychology from Loyola University and after working in Market research for 5 years I chose to stay home, raise a family and homeschool two fabulous children!  I returned to the workforce in the membership department of Girl Scouts and spent the last 3 year as the ED of the Frankfort Chamber.

Volunteering has been part of my fabric since I was young, so working with chamber volunteers is not new for me. I have volunteered with Girl Scouts, Community Theater, dog clubs, schools, church and everything in between.

What I love most about the Chamber world is the opportunity I have to help local business people make connections and build relationships with one another. In today’s world of online, social media, tweeting, and blogging, the strongest connections are still formed face to face with a handshake. I am here to remind people how important that handshake is and to facilitate the time and opportunity for those connections to happen.

What is possible after that handshake is limitless!

Dawn Stenstrom

Administrative Assistant

Hello Everyone, My name is Dawn Stenstrom and I am a new staff member of the Niles Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  I am pleased to meet everyone from the businesses in the village and new businesses coming into this wonderful village.  I have been a resident of the village since moving back here in 2011 to my childhood home which was built in 1954.

Prior to me moving back here to the village I married, raised my son and chose to go back to school, get my Associates Degree in Business and join the working force once again.  I have always had a background in construction and networking businesses to businesses in the construction industry so I am familiar with what it takes to keep people in touch and working together for the same goals SUCCESS.

I am excited to be here with the Niles Chamber and look forward to talking and meeting all of you.
