Kim Biederman

Kim Biederman joins the Niles Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director. With over 15 years of nonprofit management experience,

Kim formally served as Executive Director for the Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC), one of the nation’s largest independent public relations membership associations.  Prior to joining PCC, Kim was the Executive Director for the Chicago Area Public Affairs Group (CAPAG) and the administrator for Chicago Women in Government Relations (CWGR). Kim provided key association support services to the organizations including membership and recruitment, corporate sponsorship, board/committee management, budget and meeting/event planning.

From 1995 to 2006, Kim was the Operation Manager for American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) where she managed a 45,000 square foot multi-tenant office facility and budget of $2 million.  She served prior to that as the chief event planner of their annual conferences ranging in size from 1000 to 6000 attendees.

Kim started her career working for Congressman Sidney Yates and the U.S. Department Health and Human Services in Washington D.C.

Kim served the Village of Niles as a Trustee where she started the Niles Teen Center and spearheaded and chaired the Milwaukee Avenue Redevelopment Committee. She was on the Planning and Zoning Board for over seven years prior to becoming Village Trustee.

Kim holds a Masters of Public Administration from University of Illinois – Chicago, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Sociology from Illinois State University.

Erin will be the Marketing and Events Manager position, a part-time position to assist with event planning, marketing, and office support to better serve our membership.
We are truly excited by all the Erin brings to the table! She has extensive background in event planning and is local to the area. She currently serves her community in various volunteer roles, including as President of the Des Plaines Park District Board, and Commissioner for the Des Plaines Youth Commission. She is a member of the Des Plaines Optimist Club and Board member on the D62 Education Foundation. She holds a B.S. and an MBA from Dominican University. Her family includes her husband Ray, and their three children—Harlow (12), Elliott (10) and Dakota (9).
