The Niles Chamber Dollars for Scholars Charter is an all-volunteer committee dedicated to our youth. In the past seventeen years this program has awarded over $191,000 in scholarships to area students.

Details about our Scholarship Program

January 2nd Applications for 2024 WILL BE OPEN 

February 9th Application Deadline

March 10th Essay Grading Complete

March 11th Winners Notified

To apply, eligible high school seniors must complete an application and answer ONE essay question listed on the application (250/300 min to 500 words MAX!). Scholarship recipients will be notified by email the end of March 2024. The award process is anonymous. All candidates are numbered and scored through a point system by local leaders in the community.

Are You Eligible?

You must be a current Senior in High School AND meet ONE of the following criteria:

• Niles, IL resident
• Son/daughter of an employee at a Chamber Member Business. For a list of current members search the business directory: www.nileschamber.com
• An employee of a Chamber Member business. For a list of current members search the business directory: www.nileschamber.com 

Funding for the Niles Chamber Dollars for Scholars Chapter is raised from our annual scholarship raffle and from generous corporate sponsorships.
