April 10, 2020 – The Niles Township Food Pantry, like so many of our community residents, businesses, hospitals, etc., have felt the immense impact of the COVID-19 Virus. Since Mid-March the Food Pantry has been able to assist over 6,400 individuals. And, with many more being furloughed, the number is going to increase exponentially in the next few weeks.

In these sensitive times, it is inspiring to see our communities rally together. The Food Pantry is graciously thankful to all who have spent countless hours distributing food, making deliveries, donating food and money. The support of the Niles Township Community is the backbone of the food pantry. Unfortunately, at this time, it’s not enough.

We are now calling out a plea for help. The Food Pantry is receiving Food and produce from the Greater Chicago Food Depository however, we are lacking diapers, toiletries, formula and paper products. We are starting a Township Campaign with Morton Grove, Niles, Lincolnwood, and Skokie to help secure these items. Our plea is now for monetary donations so the Food Pantry can purchase these items. Our goal is $25,000. We understand that times are daunting but a small amount will help.
